Mommy + Mini Spa Headband
My daughter, Evelyn, and I have been wearing these matching spa headbands so much lately, so today I wanted to share how I made them! I think they’d be a really fun project for Mother’s Day, or a Mommy + Mini spa date!

Materials
15-20 g of sport weight yarn (Sirdar 100% Cotton in Rose used in sample)
Size US 6 (4 mm) needles
Tapestry Needle
Abbreviations
K: knit
P: purl
beg: beginning
CO: cast on
Rep: repeat
Sl: slip 1 stitch purlwise
St: stitch
RS: right side
WS: wrong side
Mommy Headband
Headband
Using a Provisional Cast On, CO 15 sts.
Row 1 (setup): k across.
Row 2 (WS): sl 1, *p1, k1; rep from * to end of row.
Row 3 (RS): sl 1, k to end of row.
Rep Rows 2-3 until piece measures 18″/45.75 cm from CO edge.
Place sts from Provisional Cast on edge back on the free needle, and fold headband in half. Kitchener the two ends of the headband together, and weave in ends.
Headband Detail
Using a Provisional Cast On, CO 7 sts.
Row 1 (setup): k across.
Row 2 (WS): sl 1, *p1, k1; rep from * to end of row.
Row 3 (RS): sl 1, k to end of row.
Rep Rows 2-3 until piece measures 2.5″/6.25 cm from CO edge.
Place sts from Provisional Cast on edge back on the free needle, and fold detail piece in half. Place the headband in the center of the detail piece. Kitchener the two ends of the detail piece together, and weave in ends.
Mini Headband
Headband
Using a Provisional Cast On, CO 11 sts.
Row 1 (setup): k across.
Row 2 (WS): sl 1, *p1, k1; rep from * to end of row.
Row 3 (RS): sl 1, k to end of row.
Rep Rows 2-3 until piece measures 16″/40.5 cm from CO edge.
Place sts from Provisional Cast on edge back on the free needle, and fold headband in half. Kitchener the two ends of the headband together, and weave in ends.
Headband Detail
Using a Provisional Cast On, CO 7 sts.
Row 1 (setup): k across.
Row 2 (WS): sl 1, *p1, k1; rep from * to end of row.
Row 3 (RS): sl 1, k to end of row.
Rep Rows 2-3 until piece measures 2″/5 cm from CO edge.
Place sts from Provisional Cast on edge back on the free needle, and fold detail piece in half. Place the headband in the center of the detail piece. Kitchener the two ends of the detail piece together, and weave in ends.
